We specialize in guiding clients through diverse projects, such as IFRS conversion, US GAAP Convergence, IPOs, M&A activities, cross-border transactions, sell-side advisory, and financial statement preparation. As part of AAS practice, Pierian plays a pivotal role in assisting global and domestic clients, contributing to seamless service delivery. Joining us as an Accounting Advisory Services Manager offers a unique opportunity to engage with cross-border teams, tackle multifaceted accounting challenges, and cultivate expertise in client delivery.
Position Summary
Our specialized Accounting Advisory team possesses a wealth of experience in various domains, including financial reporting, regulatory adherence, and technical accounting solutions. Our expertise extends across international frameworks encompassing diverse accounting standards (GAAPs), comprehensive management reporting, and financial instruments.
The team's proficiency is founded upon deep-seated subject matter knowledge coupled with sector-specific insights, enabling us to deliver meticulous accounting and financial reporting remedies for a broad spectrum of client transactions.
At this tier, candidates are required to demonstrate extensive proficiency in Financial Reporting and Advisory services. This mandates a profound mastery of not only US GAAP, IFRS, and Ind AS, but also encompasses financial due diligence, along with expertise in financial reporting beyond the realms of these core frameworks. This holistic proficiency ensures a comprehensive approach to addressing our client's diverse needs.
The individual should be competent enough to manage a portfolio of clients and be responsible for the timeliness and quality of the work. In addition to the domain expertise, the individual should possess strong business acumen and interpersonal skills as this role will require building and maintaining client relationships.
While the Individual will be based out of a particular office, he/she will be responsible for supporting client service delivery across locations. The individual should also be ready to undertake domestic/international travel for client engagements.
Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs) Lead and manage global/domestic client engagement teams to execute the following solutions:
- Drafting of opinions regarding complex accounting transactions and advising on financial reporting Research on technical accounting and provide tailored solutions. Preparation/review of financial statements under US GAAP / IFRS / Ind AS GAAP conversions Implementation of new/revised accounting standards Capital Markets/Public Company Readiness
Manage business and clients:
- Actively support the leadership to Identify new business opportunities. Suggest and drive business development initiatives Enhance relationships with key Global counterparts. Collaborate closely with other service lines for expanding market footprints;
Manager and develop people:
- Lead a team of Assistant Managers and Seniors and ensure the team delivers high–quality work, on time. Review the work of team members on a regular basis. Mentor, motivate and coach team members and encourage technical learning. Organizing and providing technical training across service lines.
Required Technical competence
- Hands-on knowledge and experience of US GAAP / IFRS / Ind AS. Knowledge of regulatory requirements with respect to IPO / SPAC transactions. Working experience in SEC/SEBI reporting and compliance requirements. Practical Financial consolidation is an add-on. Wide experience in accounting memo/opinion writing. Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word and other MS PowerPoint.
Soft/People skills
- Highly motivated with an exceptional work ethic. Ability and desire to work cooperatively with team members and client professionals. Possess strong leadership skills. Excellent written and verbal communication, Possess an advisory mindset and strong analytical skills. Ability to apply independent and objective professional judgment.
Qualifications factors for success
- Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA (US) or ACCA (UK). 5+ years of post-qualification experience in auditing, technical accounting, or financial reporting preferably with a Big 4 accounting firm. Relevant advisory experience of at least 3-5 years in US GAAP / IFRS / Ind AS engagements.
Selection process
