Research and Revenue Accounting Services (R&R) provides financial services to researchers and project managers in a business partnering model by supporting project costing and providing financial advice across the duration of projects.
The Opportunity
We have two exciting Management Accountant positions available within the Research and Revenue Accounting team, across our Mulgrave and Parkville locations. This role will be providing expert advice to researchers and project managers throughout the project lifecycle. As the Management Accountant, you will be contributing knowledge and expertise towards processes such as policy development, governance and change management. This will also include financial transactions and resolving challenging accounting issues. This role will report directly to the Finance Business Partner.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing budget, forecasting and reporting responsibilities that will assist in research grants and contracts. You will be managing the development of funding proposals across complex budgets.
As the Management Accountant, you will have the opportunity to provide leadership and development within your team while delivering R&R accounting services to the University.
To be a suitable applicant you will have a degree qualification in finance/related discipline, preferably with CA or CPA accreditation and extensive relevant experience. You will also have wide exposure in providing finance-related advice and expertise around the preparation and monitoring of multiple budgets.
