Your Role:

Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, ANZ IP&F, this role is to support a diversified and fast-growing business in day to day finance functions, timely and accurate compliance work, period and year-end close processes.

This is a Fixed Term Contract role for 6 months, with the possibility of it being extended to become a permanent role.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Work with AP team to ensure vendors’ invoices are paid on time and coded appropriately
  • Review weekly payment runs to identify Withholding Tax errors
  • Track Fringe Benefits for car, car parking, expense payments, LAFHA etc.
  • Consolidation of various projects Trail Balances from 3rd party software and prepare journals for posting in SAP
  • Prepare payroll journals
  • Reconcile payroll related payments (salary, PAYG, superannuation, AL, LSL) and liabilities GL accounts on regular basis
  • Assist production accountants re compliance (PAYG, WHT, FBT and superannuation) questions when required
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Assist with month end and year end closure
  • Prepare Business Activity Statements, including reconciling GST & PAYG.
  • Prepare monthly payroll tax lodgements
  • Ad hoc tasks.

 

About You:

You have 3-5 years’ experience in medium to large corporate or accounting firm. Qualified CA or CPA or working towards to qualification.Candidates with tax experience in chartered accounting firms are welcomed. You have strong technical accounting and tax skills with experience in Financial / ERP systems – SAP S/4HANA and BPC (preferable but not essential). You possess advanced Excel skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to guide and direct the service provider. You are proactive, self-starter and have great organisational skills.
