To that extent the SCE (Socrates Cloud Evolution) initiative is embarking on road map to replace all our current Global in store Patient Management systems with a single, state of the art, browser, cloud-based solution for all our operating territories.

Your purpose

As a Business Analyst within our Socrates Cloud Evolution project, you will lead collaboration on the definition of requirements for one of the key functional areas in the new solution, working in a distributed team of skilled professionals including product owners, delivery managers, developers and testers.

You'll also be a role model within a wider community of business analysts across the organisation, demonstrating accountability for continuous improvement of the requirements process in your team, sharing knowledge and expertise.

Your role
  • Lead inception and discovery activities to provide clarity, facilitating workshops to derive and gather high-level requirements, dependencies and create high level approach
  • Liaise with the Functional Lead & other Business Analysts to ensure the continuity of the solution across all the Socrates functional areas and its alignment to the agreed strategy
  • Identify and understand impact of cross-stream technical and feature dependencies and synergies, actioning accordingly to ensure consistency in requirements across streams and maximise opportunities for capability re-use
  • Support, evolve and consistently contribute to continuous improvement in ways of working and outputs of the BA team and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest technology trends, best practices and technologies
  • Work closely with the product owner, business users and other stakeholders to elicit, validate, analyse, refine, manage, and communicate their requirements in the form of detailed user stories and acceptance criteria, ultimately creating the required designs and documentation to support in the creation and rollout of new functionality

  • Experienced in agile development/delivery and working in multi-disciplinary product teams as part of large scale, complex programmes
  • Highly collaborative, A good team player who thrives on being part of a highly effective and productive team with the ability to engage and foster cross functional and multi territory relationships
  • A demonstrable aptitude for visual presentation, used to articulating ideas and user journeys through sketches, diagrams and able to communicate technology issues with non-technical people
  • Excellent storyteller, able to present a compelling vision to your team; collaborate with and influence all kinds of different people across different levels and backgrounds
  • Proactive, naturally curious, and keen to discover what your users need and are keen to learn and develop your skills
