Senior Accountant Officer
Job DescriptionResponsibilitiesTo ensure the completeness and integrity of client ledgers through the timely and accurate review of all accounting transactionsWhere necessary input accounting transactions onto the relevant accounting systemTimely completion or review of annual financial statements for an allocated portfolio in accordance with applicable accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP, FRS 102) and internal policies and proceduresManagement of the audit process for client entitiesGenerate or review capital accounts for Limited Partners in accordance with applicable limited partnership agreementProduction or review of quarterly investor reporting in format agreed with clientProduction or review of management accounts at frequency agreed with client (monthly, quarterly)Production or review of net asset value (“NAV”) at frequency agreed with the client (monthly, quarterly)Provide ongoing and active management of accounting matters to include escalation where requiredProvide full support to clients where necessary on accounting mattersProvide full support to Client Administrators where necessary on accounting mattersAssist with the preparation of performance and management feesAction specific outputs in connection with Closing ClientsProactively contribute to the team objectives of achieving both individual and team targets on a daily basis with high performance against key performance indicators which are set towards contributing to achieving our overall business objectives.TasksAssist and work collaboratively with the other Accountants, back office team and Management Team on day-to-day accounting tasks and matters in respect of their client portfoliosProvide timely responses to Fund Accounting queries and highlight any risk issues that ariseDisplay commitment to deliver excellent client service, operational effectiveness and efficiencies in all assigned tasksDevelop a working knowledge of the Company’s policies and procedures in order that you can ensure that they are being followed and complied with and, in case of non-compliance, take responsibility to inform the relevant Manager or the Risk and Compliance Team in a timely mannerProactively contribute to the team objectives of meeting key performance indicators and achieving objectivesIdentify and develop technical knowledge and communication requirements to a level appropriate to the roleInvite feedback and continuously look to improve performanceTake ownership for maintaining Continual Professional Development as required for the role and/or for existing professional qualifications or regulatory requirementsAssist with project work as the business requiresOrganisation of time (including working outside of usual business hours in exceptional circumstances) to ensure that client expectations are metKey competencies for position and levelCommunicates Effectively – Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiencesCustomer Focus – Building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutionsAction Orientated – Taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy and enthusiasmKey behaviours we expect to seeIn addition to demonstrating our Group Values (Authentic, Bold, and Collaborative), the role holder will be expected to demonstrate the following:ReliableEnthusiastic Team playerMethodical and flexibleProfessionalApproachableAccurate with a methodical and consistent approachResilient with the ability to remain focused and work under pressureQualificationsRequired ExperienceHolds a relevant accounting qualificationPreferably a good understanding of the Finance IndustryWorking knowledge of Microsoft packages including Excel, Outlook and WordAdditional informationAt IQ EQ Group we want you to reach your full potential.
