About the Bookkeeper role

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced and commercially driven Bookkeeper to join our growing team! You love working directly with clients on a variety of projects, ensuring that accurate records are maintained and helping improve clients’ current processes, including through the implementation of technology. You will be a great communicator with the ability to elicit the necessary information from our clients to ensure that transactions are correctly processed, as well as being able to help clients adopt new ways of working.

Role and responsibilities

  • Recording and maintaining detailed and accurate records of all financial transactions within the organization. This includes recording income, expenses, purchases, sales, and other financial activities to a high level of accuracy. Create and maintain General Ledgers, which are summaries of financial transactions categorized by accounts such as assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses. Track and manage accounts receivable and accounts payable and ensure timely invoicing, follow-up on overdue payments, and process incoming and outgoing payments. Reconcile bank statements by comparing the organization's financial records with the bank statements to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies. Prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, based on the organization's financial records. Use accounting software and tools to perform their duties efficiently. Communicate with vendors, clients, and other stakeholders to resolve financial-related inquiries or issues. Working with our Manager’s to onboard new clients and implement our standard processes and automation tools, helping the client understand and adopt them. Working collaboratively with the wider team

Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or studying ACCA/CA. Minimum of 12 months experience Strong knowledge of bookkeeping practices and procedures. Proficiency in accounting software Xero, QuickBooks, Freeagent and Microsoft Excel. Able to work independently and meet deadlines. Excellent attention to detail and processing accuracy Flexible and adaptable with the ability to respond quickly and effectively to client needs.
