This role will be responsible for maintaining the purchase ledger for a key group of suppliers and will work closely as part of a team of 3 Accounts Assistants.

Description
Reporting directly into the Assistant Financial Controller, this is a high volume role that will involve processing large volumes of invoices efficiently and accurately within a timely manner as well as dealing with queries and payments, ensuring that relationships with key stakeholders are developed and built to ensure excellent customer service at all times.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the purchase ledger is accurately maintained for key supplier groups and process deadlines are met
- Ensuring suppliers are paid in accordance with agreed terms and conditions or in accordance with best practice and escalating as required with key stakeholders where this is unable to be met ensuring resolutions are identified
- Monitor, investigate and resolve internal and supplier queries within agreed time frames ensuring keeping all customers both internal and external updated
- Partner and develop relationships with operational departments to assist with ensuring excellent supplier relationships are maintained
- Assisting team with monthly reconciliation and month-end close of Accounts Payable Ledger, ensuring support in delivering this within time limits
- Undertake ad hoc tasks as required by the Assistant Financial Controller to assist in the general running of the Department
- Any other duties associated with the Purchase Ledger as required and identified
Profile
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential
- Strong purchase ledger knowledge
- Proven ability to deliver purchase ledger activity
- IT proficient, especially MS Excel
- Ability to input and process invoices quickly and accurately
- Excellent communicator, able to forge strong working relationships within all areas of the business, and external bodies
- AAT Qualified / studying
Job Offer
Basic salary up to £25,000 plus excellent benefits package
