Job purpose: contribute to deal structuring, strategic advisory, M&A advisory, valuations, financial modelling and restructuring projects
Responsibilities will vary across projects and will include (but not limited to):
Performing financial due diligence procedures relating to the sale and purchase of companies and businesses together with your project team. You will do this with a view to identifying risks of importance that are relevant to the perception of a contemplated transaction.
Analyzing key balance sheet components and valuation issues, for example, identifying overvalued assets and undervalued/omitted liabilities.
Quantifying tax and other non-compliance exposures
Coordinating with other advisors/investors (e.g., legal, lenders)
Supporting the buyer’s negotiating position and purchase price adjustments.
Providing input to purchase and debt agreements and other related documents.
Analyzing working capital requirements and seasonality relative to proposed target levels.
Providing corporate finance advisory services right from deal origination to deal completion.
Providing comprehensive restructuring advisory services for clients that may be in distressed or special situations
Supporting the stakeholders in the evaluation and execution of their transactions from deal identification to post deal integration.
Engage with clients, participate in creating solutions, and build relationships with stakeholders.
Skills and attributes for success
Highly numerate with strong attention to detail
Logical and methodical approach
Master’s degree and minimum 2 years of working experience preferably in audit
Good accounting knowledge, Team player with the ability to build relationships at all levels
Supporting the stakeholders in the evaluation and execution of their transactions from deal identification to post deal integration.
Engage with clients, participate in creating solutions, and build relationships with stakeholders.
To be considered for the role candidate must:
Have completed a professional qualification/certification course(CA, CFA or equivalent)
Have 3-7years of post-qualification experience in an advisory firm/role
Have experience working on full spectrum of M&A, financial advisory and fundraising projects
Be adept at financial modelling, due diligence, business modelling and valuation
