CREDIT CONTROLLER Job Purpose: To ensure the timely collection of monies owed by customers. The credit controller is responsible for setting up new customer accounts, setting credit limits for customers, minimising bad debt exposure, contacting customers by phone, email or writing and handling customer queries. Key Responsibilities & Duties: • Collecting money owed by customers • Monitoring of customer debt levels • Phoning and writing/emailing customers • Setting up new customer accounts • Setting credit limits and ensuring customers adhere to those limits • Placing accounts on or off hold • Allocating customer payments against outstanding invoices • Visiting customers to deal with their accounts • Sending customer accounts to solicitors for debt collection • Handling customer queries with necessary follow up actions • Bank lodgements • Reception cover • Participate in training and development programmes as required by the Company • To undertake any other duties or activities as required by the Company Skills Profile: • Relevant credit management qualification & experience • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills • Excellent customer management skills • Flexible and adaptable approach to tasks • Highly organised • Ability to multitask and work accurately and efficiently • Competent IT Skills
