The Opportunity
We currently have an open term full time opportunity for a Finance Officer - Accounts Receivable to join QIC's Australian Real Estate Finance team in Brisbane.
Reporting to the Manager - Shared Service Centre, the purpose of the Finance Officer (AR) is to perform general Accounts Receivable tasks including high volume receipting, bank reconciliations, tenant invoicing and month end reconciliations.
As a shared services team member of the Australian Real Estate Finance team you are responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of all management and annual financial accounts for the global real estate portfolio.

The key accountabilities for the Finance Officer (AR) are not limited to but include:
Manage accounts receivable functions including daily reconciliation of bank statements, banking, EFT/cheque/cash handling, receipting, application and data entry, invoicing, gift cards and other programs and initiatives
Reconciliation of tenant accounts and resolving unapplied funds received
Accurate data entry of information into databases and financial systems
Apply appropriate internal control processes
Administer, reconcile and produce accurate reports relating to trust accounts, general ledger and sub-ledger reconciliations
Calculate net funds available for use by stakeholders
Maintain security and holding deposits, and other ledgers and registers
Daily, end of month and annual reconciliations and processes
The ideal candidate
As an ideal candidate for this role, you will demonstrate the ability to work in teams, be self-directed, proactive and flexibly respond to changing requirements. Provide outstanding organisational skills and attention to detail, demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. This position is suited to someone who has a keen interest in growing and developing within the position.
As a strong candidate for this role, you will have:
Minimum 12 month's experience in an accounts receivable function or similar professional environment.
Intermediate training or equivalent experience in MS Excel and MS Word
Proven competency in high volume data entry
Proven competency in data entry tasks including trust accounting, data analysis, cashflows, reconciliation and collections
Knowledge of and experience in dealing with retail and commercial leases
Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships both internally and externally
Preferred
Use of Tech One Finance Package
2 year's minimum experience Accounts Receivable
Exposure to and knowledge of Commercial and Retail Property Management administration or Property software.
