This role purchases IT equipment, following established purchasing policies and procedures, and optimizing price, delivery and terms. The incumbent does not become heavily involved in the development of specifications, but the work is more complex than buying off-the-shelf items.
Description:
- This role is rresponsible for buying bank's all types of IT equipment's; manages suppliers selection, prepares quotations & comparative analysis, purchase order, contract management.
- Identifies potential suppliers and issues requests for quotations.
- Analyzes and selects suppliers, issues purchase orders; follows up and expedites as necessary.
- Monitors market trends and conditions and update to the PDD Management.
- Analyses the compliance of requests with policies and procedures and with specified category spent.
- Drives buy-in and coordination between Center and BUs.
- Drives development and distribution of Market intelligence for own categories.
- Drives sourcing strategies and bid list definition to submit to senior buyer and Proc. Manager.
- Leads commercial/contractual discussions and negotiations.
- Drives performance management process for own categories and follow-ups.
- Recommends and oversees intervention on suppliers for own categories.
- Ensures vendor adherence to policies, procedures, quality and speed.
- Acts as a point of contact for the business requiring categories and supports senior buyer in challenging demand management.
