A fantastic opportunity to work for a growing SME in the Utilities industry, based in Hitchin, who are currently looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their Accounts team on a temporary to permanent basis. They require a reliable and hardworking individual who has previous experience in similar or relevant roles.

The client is a small to medium family-owned company in the Utilities industry, who have achieved steady growth over the last few years in their office based in Hitchin. As they are expanding, they are now seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their team. This would be a good opportunity to cover all aspects of an Accounts Assistant role, as well as the chance to learn about other areas of the business.

Description

As an Accounts Assistant, your key responsibilities will be:

  • Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger and Credit Control duties
  • Maintenance of the Cash book
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Accruals and prepayments
  • Other ad-hoc Accounts duties

Profile

The successful Accounts Assistant will be/have:

  • previous experience in a similar role
  • proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Good attention to detail
  • Able to start immediately
  • Be able to work well within a team
  • Be hardworking and reliable
