Position Description:
The role will focus on the regional SSGA Asia Pacific (“APAC”) business and will provide extensive decision support, financial and business analysis, reporting, forecasting, budgeting and related variance analysis.
This includes the control, development and maintenance of systems, models, templates, financial and operational KPIs. This role will continuously evolve with changes to the business and organizational environment and it will have various finance; business and cross functional relationships (local, regional, global).

Primary Responsibilities:
Assist with the annual budget process including: template construction, data collation, data analysis, regional and global liaison and budget presentation pack
Load and maintain all data in the budget and monthly forecasting systems
Assist with preparation of reporting, variance analysis and commentary - e.g. month end commentary template, month end flash reporting, dashboards, business review, global business reviews
Provide core business driver analysis (FUM, margins, flows, market, fx) including general P&L (e.g. direct / indirect revenue and expenses) and balance sheet analysis
Maintain (and development where appropriate) controls and procedures over business / financial models in conformance with State Street and SSGA's risk excellence policies (e.g. SOX, CIS 7.1.3. MRM etc.)

Required Qualifications:
Proven hands on experience in commercial / management accounting, budgeting and forecasting; a good understanding of accounting processes and procedures.
Finance degree and qualified CPA / CIMA / CA
Confidence using a variety of systems and business intelligence (“BI”) tools is essential - e.g. Sun Systems, Oracle / Essbase. Khalix, other OLAP tools
Microsoft Office suite: intermediate/advanced Excel & Power Point skills
