Do you have in-depth knowledge of the valuation process ? Are you skilled at assessing processes and making improvements? Do you want to play a key role in the drive to operational excellence?

We are looking for a a Valuation Officer to:

• Organise and facilitate the valuation process for the AIFs under UBS FML management
• Work with key stakeholders engaged in the valuation framework (i.e. valuation agent, portfolio management team, risk team, external valuer) to validate and update the valuation models, methodologies, data and assumptions.
• Review and control the AIF products valuation and carried interest model.
• Prepare valuation reports for the UBS FML AIF Valuation Committee review and approval
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting for the senior management team and board of directors
• Participate to project management (new fund on-boarding, new product type etc...)
• Continually look at processes and procedures enhancements within the AIF team
• Handle audit requests related to valuation.

Your team
In this role, the Valuation Officer will be an integral member of the AIF team focusing on valuation of AIFs under UBS FML management. The focus of the team is to review and control the valuation material produced by the relevant Asset Management teams. The Valuation Officer/Manager will have the opportunity to participate in an array of projects and will be expected to assume a key role on the team.

Your expertise
• Master's Degree in Economics, Finance or Mathematics; any relevant qualifications will be an advantage (CFA/ICAEW/ACCA)
• 3 to 5 years of relevant financial services industry experience (Investment Management or Corporate Finance department from big4)
• Sound knowledge and experience with portfolio valuation in accordance with Luxembourgish AIFMD requirements, based on practical work, knowing industry standards such as the International Private Equity & Venture Capital Valuation Guidelines (IPEV)
• Familiarity with a wide range of valuation approaches (e.g. Income, Market)
• Strong technical accounting skills
• Knowledge of the local requirements in relation to AIF funds (SICAV, SIF; RAIF, etc...)
• Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Analytical and quantitative skills, highly organized
• Team player with resourceful mindset and efficiency-driven
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to produce compelling, detailed reporting materials
• Ability to multi-task and execute a wide range of assignments, strong time management skills, and attention to detail
• Fluent in English (both written and spoken) - any other European language will be an asset.
