In this role, you will be responsible for managing the finances of a multi-brand customer base for BT Home products. Your primary focus will be on optimizing all base transactions, which underpin the majority of the annual turnover of £4.6bn for these products. This also represents the primary source of future growth for the business as we shift our focus away from less efficient new customer acquisition towards upgrading and enriching existing customers.

You'll have the following responsibilities

• Finance business partner to Home Commercial teams reactively supporting and pro-actively driving:

• Short term trading performance including new proposition approval, detailed performance analysis, performance improvement plans and risk mitigation plans

• Medium and long term customer trading strategy including opportunity analysis, channel strategy, x-brand and x-product optimisation

• All activity forecasting including in quarter outlooks, new quarterly plans, monthly rolling forecasts and annual budgeting

• Role to support across Home products, BB, Voice, TV/Sport

• Consolidate performance decks across the Home Finance team, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, MTP.

• Develop new activity evaluation models that significantly improve and standardize decision-making across the product set

• Work with Commercial FP&A team ensuring all historic performance and forward looking forecasts are sufficiently communicated and understood

You'll have the following skills & experience

• Qualified accountant e.g. ACA, CIMA, ACCA

• Advanced financial modelling (excel) skills - ability to build/manipulate detailed models to arrive at appropriate outputs/metrics to support decision making

• Able to identify issues, get to root causes through the use of financial analysis and insight to diagnose and solve problems

• Able to deal with ambiguity, identify resources to implement and determine pragmatic solutions

• Communication skills: translating complex financial outcomes to senior financial and non-financial stakeholders through both oral and written communication. Ability to tailor message to the relevant audience, distilling key messages without losing the appropriate level of detail

• Demonstrated professionalism with a proven ability to operate in a complex, fast paced matrixed business environment

• Bias towards bold and confident thinking, challenging the status quo where appropriate

• Patience and experience of navigating large, complex organisational structures
