About you
We are looking for a Senior Accountant to support our client managers and business advisors. Ultimately, there is an opportunity for you to become a client manager yourself. This position is ideal for you if you:
- Enjoy fixing problems and achieving goals, not simply showing up and giving the minimum effort.
- Enjoy taking the initiative in trying to improve client outcomes, instead of keeping your head down and keeping on with the status quo
- Have 3+ years of tax and accounting experience. Bonus points if you can demonstrate experience advising businesses or business owners
- Have excellent interpersonal skills, are fun to work with, and will contribute to our work environment
- Have a strong technical knowledge of tax and accounting. We will teach you about advanced topics like client management, business advisory, and asset structure, but this knowledge builds on basic accounting
- Have experience using MYOB, Xero and NowInfinity
- CPA or CA qualification is a plus, but not necessary
Duties and Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for the preparation, review and analysis of our clients financial statements and tax documents
- Help Senior Client Managers advise clients with their tax queries
- Train and help other accountants and bookkeepers on your team in Australia and the Philippines
- Review your teams work to ensure quality, accuracy and timeliness
