The client are a well-known hospitality and catering group that own two different (famous) hospitality chains in the City of London. The company is a brilliant place to work with an excellent culture, and they are looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join the team on a permanent basis.
Client Details
The client own two chains of well-known and hospitality brands that have a number of locations across the City of London. The finance team is made up of 9 people and the successful Accounts Payable Assistant will report directly into the Accounts Payable Manager. The team is very sociable and there are many opportunities to grow and develop through the team. They are looking for a candidate with strong purchase ledger knowledge (from a hospitality business) to join the team and help with the increased workload (from company growth).
Description
The successful Accounts Payable Assistant will:
- Processing of the Purchase Ledger invoices ensuring the correct approval procedure is followed
- Analysis of the Accounts Payable invoices
- Liasing directly with a number of suppliers
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Negotiating service and payment terms
- Management of the venue receipt bank system
- Management of the Accounts Payable inbox
- Daily and weekly bank reconciliations
- Preparation and processing of the payment runs
- Credit card reconciliations
- Ad hoc work
Profile
The successful Account Payable Assistant will:
- Have a minimum of 3 years' experience in Accounts Payable
- MUST have experience working in the accounts department of a hospitality business
- Experience dealing with multiple sites and high volumes of Accounts Payable invoices
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is preferred but not essential
- Prior knowledge of the finance systems NetSuite and Concur (desirable, not essential)
- Strong Excel skills (V-lookups, Pivot Tables, Formulas)
