About the role
We are searching for a Senior Financial Accountant- Sustainability to join the finance team here at Kerry. Reporting into the Senior Financial Accountant you play a key role in the business with a strong focus on sustainability and providing ESG reports to the wider business.
This is a global role with a great amount of exposure within the business, and the successful candidate will work cross functionally with other teams and departments within Kerry to present and report back data.
We are flexible on candidate location between Naas or Tralee and operate a Hybrid working model with 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely.
What will I be doing?
- Become an expert in ESG external reporting requirements i.e., Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and related European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) as well as Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB).
- Provide technical advice and support to organisation in relation to external ESG reporting frameworks.
- Work with functions to ensure that disclosure requirements per ESRS are met.
- Work with functions to help with capacity building and understanding of ESG reporting frameworks, developments and best practice within sector and peers.
- Key contributor to production and continued development of external Sustainability Reports.
- Engage with and deliver year end reporting support to assurance partner and/or auditor.
- Manage submission of data/responses to external ESG rating agencies icluding CDP, EcoVadis, UN Global Compact, ISS, MSCI.
- Contribute to investor and customer questionnaires where required.
- Build expertise through external engagement, horizon scanning and contribute to knowledge sharing and education required on this evolving topic across the finance function and cross-functionally.

What do I need to be successful?

- Good relationship building skills.
- Audit/assurance background, an advantage.
- Knowledge/understanding of developments in ESG reporting, an advantage.
- Good problem solving skills.
- Results orientated, strong adherence to deadlines, deliver on projects in a timely manner.
- Good knowledge of Excel, AFO, Word and PowerPoint.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
