Forward thinking, rapidly growing engineering organisation require an Assistant Management Accountant for a temporary to permanent vacancy (hybrid, 2-3 days in the office)
As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will be supporting the Management Accountant and the Finance Business Partner in producing monthly management accounts including profit and loss account, balance sheet, cash flows, variance analysis, key performance indicators and supporting commentaries in line with agreed SLA and reporting deadlines
Key duties include:
• Pull together weekly reports from various sources of data and consolidate into Microsoft Excel whilst validating the information.
• Complete Payroll true ups
• Work with other departments to ensure information is accurate and received on a timely basis.
• Suggest and implement any improvements to the weekly process with a key focus on accuracy
• Support the commercial team and central finance team with ad-hoc requests
• Contribute and support projects as required
• Provide constructive challenge and input to ensure that opportunities and risks are identified, reported and addressed
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
• Relevant finance qualification with strong relevant experience in a similar role
• Good communication skills and ability to take direction as part of a team
• Intermediate excel i.e. pivot tables and v. look ups
• Good computer skills with advanced excel capability
• Able to problem solve with strong reconciliation skills
• Flexible and able to support pinch points in workload during the week.
