Our Newmarket based Retail Client have been growing year on year and are in the process of increasing their head count across multiple departments. The Accounts Payable Officer (Hybrid) will join a transactional team of 5 reporting directly into an experienced Finance Manager, and will responsible for all things accounts payable.

Our long time Retail client are in the market for an Accounts Payable Officer (Hybrid) to compliment their efficient finance team. The aspiring candidate can expect to join a fast paced but fun working environment were employees of all seniority levels are treated equally. They are based in Newmarket in a newly refurbished office were they have recently improved the work life balance offering with all employees being able to work 2 days from home each week. Additional training and study support can be provided to aid with progression prospects

Description

The Accounts Payable Officer (Hybrid) will be responsible for:

  • Daily processing of invoices
  • Ensuring all invoices are raised accurately
  • Allocating of cash receipts
  • Issuing of statements
  • Investigating and resolving invoice queries
  • Payment runs
  • Chasing overdue debts
  • Creating and managing new suppliers
  • Supporting the Finance Manager
  • Month end support

Profile

The Accounts Payable Officer (Hybrid) will:

  • Have previous experience working within Finance
  • Be a great communicator both written and verbal
  • Be IT literate
  • Be comfortable working accurately to multiple deadlines
  • Have strong numeracy skills
  • Have great attention to detail
