Your field of responsibility

Join us as to support the Data Management & Control team in preparation of monthly, quarterly data quality exception reporting for Group Finance. This team performs monitoring and help resolve exceptions strategically by liaising with various data providers/reference data teams and supports with ad hoc requests raised by Regulatory team, PC, FA, Operations etc. Your ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment would help you achieve the timeliness required by regulatory reporting.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to the below:

  • Responsible for performing suspense & DQ exception management activities including validations and enrichments (V&E’s), as assigned
  • Perform data collation/collection activities from data providers (within and/or outside CFO) to perform agreed V&E’s for various CFO stakeholder groups required for regulatory reporting returns.
  • Ownership of data quality breaks monitoring and resolution which must be performed under control enhanced environment.
  • Perform deep-dive investigation and analysis of large datasets using Structured Query Language (SQL).
  • Should be a good team player with ability to co-ordinate with various teams viz. IT/ PC/ BMR/ LMR/ Operations/ Finance/ CRO/ Middle Office teams, including reference data groups.
  • Strive for operational excellence and always on the lookout for ideas to increase performance
  • Maintain an effective customer service focus to resolve queries from stakeholder group users, other functions as well as control partners where required
  • Assist with ad hoc projects

Your skills and experience

We are looking for dynamic individuals who are driven, focused on learning, capable of inde-pendently operating with excellent communication and problem-solving skills:

  • Graduate or Post-Graduate in Finance/Accounts/Statistics/Economics with related experience to financial services and/or prior experience of financial services
  • 1-4 years of work experience in a financial institution with good knowledge and understanding of capital markets and accounting basics
  • Demonstrate an eagerness to learn and develop skills, and business awareness. Own and be accountable for the management of own performance. A positive ‘can-do’ attitude & a growth mindset
  • Demonstrate effective analytical/problem solving and decision-making skills. Attention to detail, diligent and good time management of tasks
  • Experience in working on process improvement or transformation/change projects as a business analyst would be an added advantage.
  • Computer literate, with a good understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Power point. Working knowledge of either of the tools (PL SQL, Alteryx, Python, Qlik/Tableau) would be an added advantage
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written (interaction required with geographically dispersed teams
