Accounting Team Lead

Responsibilities (how we will measure success)

• Team members are to finish 12-14 UFS a month
• Client retention % for team members
• Ensure statutory deadlines are met for both team and own portfolio Team members follow SOP and perform as needed
• Ensure company and individual members goals are met

Tasks (what does the role do on a day-to-day basis)

Accounting:

Manage Bookkeeping and full set of accounts for Singapore-based clients, handling portfolio of 40-50 clients
Record financial transactions from source documents into Accounting System based on Accounting Standards and Accurate Reconciliation

Constantly stay updated with new regulations and accounting standards
Coordinate with the sales team to ensure correct billing Testing of accounting software and giving feedback

People Management:

You will work directly with our Accounting Lead in managing a team of Accountants and Account Associate/Executive
Contribute to company operational matters and be ready to manage up to 6 team members in ensuring quality and timely delivery of tasks assigned

To get the team to always be in-line with the company needs and changes
Solve accounting-related issues for the team, and escalate any more significant issues and manpower need as well as minimize complaints

Key competencies for position and level

• Outsourced or external audit background
• 3-5 years of experience at least (with 1-2 years experience in managing people)
• Strong leadership skills
• Experience in UFS/Payroll/Personal tax/GST/Consolidation

Experience

• Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent, professional certification ACCA is a plus
• Min 3-5 years of experience at a top-tier accounting firm or fast- growth venture-backed startup environment with at least 1-2 years of managing people/team experience
• Strong entrepreneurial mindset and proven self-starter
• Experience building processes and executing projects in the past is preferred
• Specialized in Finance - General/Cost Accounting/Auditing or equivalent as an Executive / Senior Executive
• Familiarity in handling cloud accounting software such as Xero and/or Quickbooks will be added advantage
• Excellent communicator with proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets Self-motivated and proactive; able to work meticulously under tight deadlines
