Job Description
Hiring: Finance Manager (Broadcast Company)
Location: Arepo, Ogun State, Nigeria
Compensation: Base Pay is N250K monthly net.
Our client is a fast-growing English broadcast station situated at Arepo Ogun State.
The company is currently sourcing a finance manager who will be responsible for managing and overseeing accurate daily financial and management records and subsequently providing advice and guidance to upper management on the company's financial position and future financial plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the company's overall finance function
Producing financial reports related to Receivables, Payables, expenses, bank reconciliation etc
Monitor and regulate tax related activities including PAYE, CIT, and VAT
Conduct credit checks on new customers, resolving problems in relation to invoice payments, and reconciling complex month-end accounts
Ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures and established internal controls.
Maintains an efficient financial information system.
Develop/supervise the development of strong and effective business strategies and plans
Prepare the Company's annual budget and forecasts and communicates approved performance targets to all stakeholders.
Advise the Executive Management on major financial decisions and ensures the proper execution of/compliance with the Company's laid down financial policies, guidelines, and processes
Drives continuous improvement in financial processes.
Oversee budgeting, budgetary review, financial controls, reporting and other financial management processes
Requirements
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
Minimum of 3-4 years proven work experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and accounting software.
High attention to detail, critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills, combined with a good business judgment
Membership of a recognized professional accounting body - CFA, ACCA or ICAN is highly desired
Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns
Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used
Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
Benefits

First degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics Minimum of 3-4 years of proven experience. Proficiency using accounting software and Professional Certifications such as ACA, ACCA or CPA is highly desired Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
