The accounts receivable, month-end closing, accounts payable, and reconciliation will need to be regulated in this Bookkeeper role. In addition, the Bookkeeper will perform data entry, perform cash applications, and full cycle A/P including some coding as well as light journal entries or general ledger reconciliation. Key responsibilities
• Time entry from timesheets into Smart Service and time reconciliation.
• Collections
• OSHA REPORTING AND MONTHLY SAFETY MEETING CALL
• Truck maintenance reminders and upkeep, plus registration renewals
• Vendor / Subcontractor invoice entry into Smart Service and QuickBooks
• Computer, peripheral and software maintenance and support
• Technician paperwork filing
• Video inspection uploads and emails
• Misc. Stuff (EZ Pass, Fleet Gas Cards, GPS tracking and maintenance)
• Smart Service in house trainer
• Password maintenance (PC, Email (In House), Quick Books, Smart Service etc.)
• PAYROLL PREPERATION AND CALL IN
• Workman compensation, 401k, support payments and reporting, etc.
• Cancellation of jobs in ss, credit memos
Requirements
- Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and vendor management skills
- Strong communication and social skills
- Strong organization skills
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to retain complex work directions
- Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
- 3+ years of related experience- Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
- Progressive accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
- Well-founded grasp of cash applications
- Proven knowledge of QuickBooks
- B2B collections experience
- Expertise in payroll for under 100 employees
- General familiarity with Osha Reporting
- Weekly Payroll experience
- Solid understanding of Full Cycle Payroll
- Practical knowledge of Paychex Payroll
- Experience with commercial collections
