Chief Accountant

Ajax Systems is a developer and manufacturer of Ajax wireless security systems with smart home capabilities. We are a full-cycle company, from idea generation and development to mass production. There are 50+ devices in the Ajax line: they protect the premises from robbery, fire, flooding and provide an opportunity to control electrical appliances. Our company is a Ukrainian success story, a place of incredible strength and energy.

Our company is actively developing. Therefore, we are always looking for active people. We are steadily increasing capacity and, accordingly, the team. We are currently looking for a Chief Accountant who will be located in Poland and responsible for activity of our distribution companies in Poland, UK, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Germany and France.

The key attributes and expectations of a good Chief Accountant are:

• Supervise accounting, custom clearance, tax, financial reporting process, annual stocktaking and TP reporting.
• Supervise team of accountants (effective distribution of responsibilities within team, clear delegation within the team, ensuring a healthy and motivated environment within the team, professional development of team members).
• Supervise document workflow and timely recognition of transaction in accounting system.
• Prepare tax and accounting reports according to the local legislative requirements (in Poland – in house, in rest countries – using external service providers).
• Prepare Group's financial reports and support within audit of consolidated FS.
• Supervise standalone audit (if any).
• Timely communication of tax, accounting and reporting issues to the Group supervisors.
• Communication with government/ tax authorities (including preparation writing official responses) in case receiving requests, tax audit etc.

Qualifications:

• Complete higher Accounting or Finance education;
• Experience as a Chief Accountant or Deputy Chief Accountant at trading companies of comparable scale for a minimum of 4 years;
• Fluency in English both spoken and written is a must for communication within the group;
• Hands-on experience in internal controls design and implementation;
• Proficient user of finance software;
• Strong ability of analytical thinking, teamwork, managing, and negotiation skills with the drive for results;
• Ability to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used;
• Critically thinking mindset, analytical and problem-solving skills.
