The Role

The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support in handling Trading Settlements daily operations. An Associate is responsible for ensuring operational excellence and process compliance as well as identifying shortcomings in current processes, systems and procedures within assigned sub-processes.

Shell Trading provides a comprehensive portfolio of products and services associated with crude oil and refined products, natural gas, electrical power, emissions, chemicals trading including shipping services. Currently the Trading Settlements activities are broadly divided into two areas, North America (NA) and WONA (World outside NA).

The Trading Settlements processes are complex, risk exposed due to ever changing regulatory environment and often time critical. They involve close cooperation with different teams (Traders, Operations, Tax, Financial Accounting, Process Excellence, etc.) within the Trading business at the various Trading locations.

To provide administrative support in handling account payables/receivables activities for settlements within Shell Trading functional area.

To ensure settlements are made on-time in line with the agreed metrics, KPIs and service standards within a defined scope.
