As the Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of Cheltenham College. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team and the Bursar, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial strategy, planning, and operations of the institution.

Description

  • Develop and implement financial strategies, policies and procedures to support the college's objectives.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team, enabling informed decision-making
  • Manage and monitor the annual budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and financial stability.
  • Oversee the college's financial reporting and produce accurate and timely financial statements.
  • Collaborate with external auditors, regulatory bodies and stakeholders to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Explore and implement innovative financial solutions to drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Profile

    Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA. A proven track record in financial leadership roles, ideally with the education or non-profit sector. All sectors welcome to apply. Strong financial acumen with a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and financial management. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide strategic financial insights. Proven experience in budgeting, financial planning and forecasting. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organisation.Experience managing and coordinating a team.

Job Offer

£70,000-£80,000, flexible working and excellent benefits.
