Description

  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial reports and statements, including monthly management accounts, annual financial statements, and tax returns.
  • Continuous improvement of financial processes and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and industry best practices.
  • Prepare annual budgets and periodic financial projections for the company.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders as required.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to the executive team and other key stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the finance team, (currently one direct report), to ensure high levels of quality and productivity.
  • Oversee and manage all financial operations of the company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger accounting, stock, cash flow, banking, VAT, tax and payroll.

Profile

  • Qualified, part-qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) or qualified by experience.
  • A proven track record of success in managing a financial accounting function.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate financial information effectively to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • A thorough understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficient in the use of financial software, including accounting packages and Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Track record managing and developing a team of finance professionals.
  • Ability to work proactively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
