As an accounts receivable officer you will be a key player within the finance department. You will be expected to be responsible for maintaining the company's financial revenue and its associated transactions.

Client Details

Our client is a key player across the health care industry and is looking to recruit an accounts receivable officer into their growing finance team based in West London.

Description

Key responsibilities include:

 Tracking incoming payments

 Recording and reconciling all incoming financial transactions received

 Issuing invoices and receipts to clients for money received

 Resolving outstanding payments and sending collection statements

 Updating account information and records of clients  Assisting with monthly management accounts, internal and group reporting, audits and checking for discrepancies in financial accounts

 Preparing analytical & ratio analyses relevant to A/R so management can gain a better understanding of how collection and its related efforts are progressing and monitoring

 Supporting internal and external stakeholders as and when required especially in costings, contracts proposal and credit check with new customers.  Ensuring that financial records meet with company standards

 Compiling financial reports

 General office duties, including answering the telephone, dealing with queries and enquiries, managing emails, typing letters, general correspondence, filing, scanning and photocopying.

 Acting as point of contact for all internal & external financial issues

 To follow all Health and Safety procedures.

 To fulfil the requirements of equal opportunities policy and procedures and implement equality principles and practices within the context of the job.

 Building lasting relationships with clients to understand their needs and recommending the most suitable products or services to improve satisfaction

 Working with internal teams for effective customer service before and after closing sales

Profile

The successful candidate will have:

Accuracy with data entry  Excellent arithmetic skills  Excellent customer service skills  Ability to communicate complex financial information in a simple, understandable format  Proficiency in working with spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel  Knowledge of general accounting software, such as Sage, Oracle (Net Suite)  Extensive knowledge of accounting and financial terminology and practises  Associate of Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) part qualification or equivalent  Attention to detail  Ability to work well with others  Strong organisational skills  Experience with Excel  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment  Excellent problem-solving abilities  Accounts Receivable Officer must have a degree and complete an apprenticeship training programme. The most relevant higher education courses for this profession are Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting accredited by the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) and part qualified level accredited by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
