SENIOR FINANCE BUSINESS PARTNER - LONDON LOCAL AUTHORITY - PERMANENT

Client Details

My client is a Local Authority based in Greater London, driven to achieve further excellence in providing for their constituents and the surrounding area. They are looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join the team to come in and lead in the day-to-day running of the Resident Services Finance function.

Description

• Take responsibility for financial support to a variety of departments
• Lead in the annual budget planning and monthly monitoring against planned budgets
• Take responsibility in the statutory reporting, Tax and VAT, controls and support overall council functions
• Support officers with high-level advice on financial issues, including administration of banking and pre-paid card systems
• Play a role in the council's capital expenditure and income monitoring and control process, preparing the council's statutory annual accounts
• Take part in any other financial support on an ad-hoc basis

Profile

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Knowledge of Council accounting principles and financial policies
• understanding of Oracle Financials reporting is desired
• Working knowledge of project management methodologies is desired
• Experience in Resident Services Council function

Job Offer

• up to £64,000 Salary
