Why an apprenticeship in Audit & Assurance?

Deloitte Northern Ireland's Audit & Assurance team have a great opportunity for a motivated Apprentice who is interested in learning, and eager to succeed in a fast paced, innovative, and collaborative environment.

About the Programme

Our BrightStart Higher Apprenticeship Scheme offers you an "earn-while-you-learn" apprenticeship, with the chance to gain a professional qualification in accounting. This is the same training scheme our Audit graduates do but it runs over 5 years. You do not need to have a business qualification or finance experience to apply. In our audit teams, we help to protect the public interest across multiple industries. Learning alongside some of the best professionals, you'll enable organisations both locally and internationally to be transparent about what they do, build stronger systems of quality control, increase their capability to manage risk, and, most crucially, grow the confidence of the public. We respond to emerging issues and risks, and make sure that information that companies report is clear and reliable.

Professional Qualifications

As part of your training, you will prepare for and sit the examinations of Accounting Technicians Ireland and Chartered Accountants Ireland, ultimately leading to a globally recognised qualification as a Chartered Accountant.

Who are we looking for?
  • You will have achieved a GCSE Grade B or above in both Mathematics and English
  • Achieved 120 UCAS points; that's the equivalent of 3 Bs.
  • Keen to learn
  • Proactive
  • Critical thinker
  • Team player
  • Right to work in the UK

Additional Benefits
  • Professional qualifications fully funded
  • A competitive salary plus lots of fantastic benefits
  • Paid time off to study
  • The chance to work with and learn from industry leaders
  • The support of a buddy and mentor at work
  • Real projects with real clients
  • Valuable insights into the business world
  • Career opportunities that will take you as far as you want to go
  • A great working environment, with an active social scene and plenty volunteering opportunities
