Position Summary:

Responsible to assist the Finance Manager in managing the Accounting & Reporting functions within the Finance department to deliver timely, complete and accurate financial information to Management, to enable them to make more effective business decisions for the Company and for the purposes of complying with all regulatory requirements and reporting requirements.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Financial & Management reporting: Prepare & review income statement, balance sheet, trial balance; general ledger reconciliation, aging report & other listing.
  • Balance Sheet accounting: Prepare journal entries, CN, DN, receipts, verify supporting entries, reconciliation to creditors statements, perform bank reconciliation, inter-company and accounts reconciliations, fixed assets management & monitoring credit control and aged collection.
  • Stock reporting: Provide stock valuation analysis, prepare monthly slow-moving stock & responsible for year-end stock take exercise.
  • Statutory Compliance: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely preparation and submission of the local statutory reports to comply with Companies Act 2016, Income Tax Act and other relevant statutory requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Support continuous improvement in current accounting processes and management reporting.
  • Taxation: Knowledgeable in SST and corporate tax preparation & submission.
  • Others: To be involved in ad-hoc projects as and when required.

Education, Professional Qualification, Experience & Skills:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Accounting / Finance or any Professional certification (CPA / ACCA / similar).
  • Min 5 year(s) working experience or similar role is required for this position, preferably in Automotive industry.
  • Responsible, possess good working attitude, time management skill and can meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and well in execution.
  • Ability to work cross functionality within the organization.
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Working knowledge & experience of SAP FICO system required.
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office applications. Advanced Microsoft Excel skill preferred.
