Interim Grants Finance Business Partner [URGENT] #837

Our partner is a young international grants making organisation, supporting the work of environmental charities in the UK and overseas. They are seeking an experienced Grants Finance Business Partner to support them underpin a new programme with strong grants and financial management processes. 

Responsibilities

• Conduct due diligence and budget assessments on grantees, ensuring that these are compliant with the organisational and grant making guidelines, and review grantee financial reports.
• Create the programmes and operational budgets, forecasts and reforecasts for the new programme.
• Review the management accounts and variance analysis, providing commentary to senior staff.
• Responsible for donor compliance and reporting.

Requirements

• Experienced grants finance business partner, covering an understanding of working with grantees/sub-grantees and the grants management process; budget setting and monitoring; designing sound controls and management accounting & reporting.
• Experience in grants compliance, management and reporting, and fund accounting is strongly desirable.
• Strong business partner, with experience of working in a new programme within an established organisation, and supporting finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Strong IT and systems skills; specifically skills in MSExcel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to analyse complex information, and present it in a simple, easy to understand format.
• Collaborative, with strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong interest in environmental causes.

This is a 6 month contract with an immediate start preferred. The organisation offers hybrid working with the successful expected to be office based 2-3 days/week in London. This role is only open to candidates with the right to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship.
