Join us as a Compliance Sr. Analyst.
We are looking for an experienced Compliance professional with some expertise in Poland Law and regulation, some in Luxembourg or Ireland banking or fund law and regulation (incl. AML) would be an advantage. If you are successful in your application for the Senior Compliance Analyst you will be responsible for ensuring BBH Krakow’s activities follow the necessary rules and regulations by providing compliance support and expertise within established guidelines. Specific responsibilities include identifying and resolving problems taking into consideration internal guidelines and outside regulatory requirements. To be successful in this role you will need to be able to operate in an autonomous manner in some instances and escalate issues as necessary. You will need to leverage your technical expertise in regulatory and compliance related issues to act as trusted advisor to BBH's business lines. You will report directly to one of the Director of InServ Compliance .
This role would be suitable for a big 4 Manager in the Luxembourg funds industry and or in the Polish Banking industry.
Some of your key responsibilities include:
- Compliance Policy, Process and Documentation: Review new regulatory requirements as well as regulatory consultation documents for changes which may impact the BBH Krakow office. Identify regulatory issues which may impact local business and document these for presenting it to the Local Exco and to your Manager being the Director of InServ Compliance and eventually to the broader Compliance team
- Compliance Advice, Issue Identification / Escalation and Business Planning: Provide sound technical compliance advice to the BBH Krakow business and assist internal clients to identify compliance risks and develop effective mitigation initiatives. Identify trends in recurring compliance violations and inquiries and collaborate with other team members to improve compliance procedures and processes, training materials and forms. Identify regulatory issues which may impact local business and document these for presenting it to the Local Exco and to your Manager being the Director of InServ Compliance and eventually to the broader Compliance team
- Compliance Team, Supervision, Training, Management and Business Training: Prepare training materials and deliver training to the BBH Krakow office (with support from business and or broader compliance team as considered necessary). Ensure training topics reflect current Compliance focus and that training material is updated to reflect any regulatory changes
- Compliance Monitoring: Assist in developing and maintaining the Compliance Risk Assessment and the annual Compliance Monitoring Plan. Undertake compliance testing, as required. Prepare compliance findings for presenting it to the Local Exco and to your Manager being the Director of InServ Compliance .

Desired Qualifications:
- Expertise in the financial services industry and current regulatory requirements as they relate to the Fund industry, especially Alternatives Funds, related support function including transfer agency and fund accounting/ administration services
- Expertise of applicable Polish laws and regulation applicable in the financial sector and eventually of Luxembourg and Ireland banking or fund laws and regulation (as opposed to procedure)
- Experience and knowledge of rules and standards including AML/KYC, Data Protection, Outsourcing and Anti-Fraud laws and regulations
- Client / Regulators facing skills and experience will be an advantage
- Minimum 6 years experience in the Luxembourg/ Ireland/ Poland funds industry
