Our partner is a faith-based organisation operating globally. They are seeking an Interim Director of Finance to lead the finance function which overseas global operations, at the same time supporting country offices with finance and grant needs/requirements. This is a 6 month contract, with an immediate start preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the senior management team in strategic decision making, developing and implementing the organisation’s financial strategy and determining resource allocation.
• Supporting the senior management with governance.
• Leading in reviewing and implementing systems, processes and policies for the global operations and country offices.
• Providing financial oversight for the global operations and country offices, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements for reporting.
• Oversee and implement robust risk management practices.
• Treasury, investment and pensions management
• Provide oversight of IT and data security

Requirements

• Qualified accountant with experience of leading the finance function of an international charity or commercial organisation with complex, global operations.
• Strong experience in providing financial oversight in a global team, providing financial and strategic advisory support, in improving and implementing processes, controls and policies.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication (written and oral) skills.
• Experience of working in an inter-cultural environment, sensitivity to different cultures, and able to work collaboratively with colleagues around the world.
• A practising Christian.

This is a 6 month FTC with an immediate start preferred. They are open to candidates looking to work a minimum 3 days/week; for those working part-time the responsibilities will be adjusted to accommodate part-time working.

The organisation offers flexible working, with an initial indication expected in the office, and then to be office based once a month in England.
