Timely delivery of assigned Compliance Monitoring reviews and the identification of compliance-related issues and follow-up of remediation actions.

Description

As Compliance officer will have the following responsibilities :

• Support Compliance related projects where necessary and complete ad hoc tasks to support the Head of Compliance Monitoring.

• Support Compliance Monitoring team members and share learning points.

• Plan assigned reviews in line with scope agreed with Head of Compliance.

• Conduct testing of the processes and controls, in line with Compliance Monitoring methodology.

• Present findings to relevant stakeholders.

• Negotiate and agree appropriate remediation of findings identified

Profile

• Strong knowledge of Belgian and European Financial laws and regulations

• Strong knowledge of Financial markets and Banking activities

• IT literate

• Trilingual DUTCH / FRENCH / ENGLISH
• Previous experience in a Compliance/Legal / Consultancy department

• Project Management experience or willingness to learn

• Knowledge, skills and experience in Corporate Banking products and services.

• Knowledge, skills and experience of Prudential risks and Financial Conduct areas.

• Financial market awareness and interest in current affairs (economical and political)

• Analytical mindset with attention to detail

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Excellent report writing skills

• Capability to work well independently as well as part of a team
