Description

  • Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Conduct regular financial analysis, identify trends, and provide recommendations to optimise performance and mitigate risks.
  • Oversee the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to align financial goals with operational objectives.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to internal controls.
  • Monitor inventory valuation, costing, and variances, providing insights to drive cost-saving initiatives.
  • Support the external audit process, including preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries from auditors.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations, accounting principles, and best practices to ensure compliance and suggest process improvements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as operations, procurement, and sales to provide financial guidance and drive business growth.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and financial analysis as required by management.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CA) are highly desirable.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a Financial Accountant in the manufacturing industry, demonstrating a deep understanding of relevant accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficient knowledge of financial accounting software and ERP systems. Experience with SAP or Oracle is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide meaningful insights.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Solid understanding of internal controls and compliance requirements.
