My client is one of the most established full service law practice in the region. With a strong clientele including public services, conglomerates and also MNCs, they have a strong presence in the market with excellent reputations.

Due to business needs, they are currently looking for a Billing and Collections Manager to lead this function.

about the role

Reporting to the Financial Controller and also the Managing Partner, you will be leading a team of billing and collection assistant and taking full responsibility of the firm's full billing and collection cycle. You will be reviewing and ensuring that the draft bills and invoices are accurate before sending over to the Partners' for approval and ultimately being sent to the clients. You will also need to be providing updates and reports to the partners based on various data sets, e.g. unbilled time, lock up, aged WIP, etc.

At the same time, you will be owning the full billing process, and to be providing insights and suggestions on enhancing the overall efficiency of the procedures, while bringing in better effectiveness towards the collection cycle and in compliance with the company policies and the Law Society Solicitors Accounts Rules.

skills and experience required

• 8+ years of solid billing and collections experience from the professional services sector and in particular a partnership business
• Solid and punchy presentations, fluency in English and Chinese
• Organised, confident, and with the ability to drive the team together to deliver excellent results
• Degree holder in Accounting, Finance or other relevant disciplines
• Prior experience working in a law firm will be a definite advantage
