Our leading brand Property business are seeking a talented and motivated Management Accountant to join their highly sucessful central Finance Team on a permanent basis. Working closely with the Group FC and CFO, you will play a key role in steering business direction.

Duties Include:
  • Production of monthly trial balances for all group companies within the accounts timetable. This will include month end journals, prepayments, accruals, reconciliations of trade debtors, trade creditors, VAT accounts, pension and payroll, updating fixed assets registers and overseeing the purchase ledger, sales ledger and bank reconciliation functions.
  • Work closely with the Group FC to produce the monthly management accounts pack including management information, group debt collection, cash flow forecasting and variance analysis for all group companies within the business
  • Support with the quarterly production and distribution of the regional site management account and key data to stakeholders
  • Assist in the production of the annual budgets and periodic forecasting
  • Assist in the management reporting for key business strategic decision-making
  • Support with the management, training and development of four junior members of the finance team
  • Produce monthly cash flow forecasts for the group
  • Support in the production of the figures for the annual statutory accounts
  • Assist the Group FC and liaise with external audits
  • Calculate, present, reconcile and submit the quarterly Group VAT returns.
  • Review and control of the monthly payroll process
  • Oversee the operation of the Group's Sage 200 accounting program acting as the 'super-user'
  • Carry out continuous reviews of working accounting practices and processes, make suitable suggestions to implement with the Group FC and ensure an efficient and complex finance operation
Experience Required:
  • Fully or Part qualified ACCA or CIMA (activly studying)
  • 4+ years experience including accounts up to trail balance
  • Advanced IT capability including exposure to SAGE and advanced EXCEL
  • Keen and motivated to progress and support the business growth and personal knowledge
  • Experience in supporting more junior team members
