My client is the UK division of an internationally Listed business. They are a specialist precision manufacturing business with an excellent reputation for staff development and creation of opportunities.
Description
The Senior Financial Accountant role will take the lead on the local site, and will be the main contact for the UK legal entity. This will be in relation to all Statutory Accounts and Tax related matters.
The Senior Financial accountant will be required to support the site Financial Controller and the Finance team in the production of monthly and annual reporting and ensuring specifically that there is understanding of process, policy and compliance responsibilities. Alongside this you will be responsible for co-ordinating the updating and documenting of current processes.
Additionally you will co-ordinate, prepare and own the Legal Entity's Statutory accounts and other statutory returns including tax. This includes the initial preparation, communication and co-ordination with the assisting external accountants and stakeholders through to ensuring timely completion and filing.
This role is also the main point of contact for any reporting and queries relating the entity's Tax position, which consists of 3 stand alone trial balances in 3 locations, and therefore you will need to co-ordinate with the site leads and finance teams across all sites.
Profile
The ideal candidate for this Senior Financial Accountant role will meet the following criteria
- Fully Qualified - ACA, ACCA or CIMA with relevant experience
- Excellent understanding of UK and ideally US GAAP
- Strong experience of internal Financial reporting in a multinational company environment
- Understand a manufacturing environment
- Have a strong compliance accounting skill set.
- Be an excellent communicator at all levels
