Our client are an award winning, customer focused business who value their staff immensely. Due to growth they are seeking a Finance Assistant to join their established accountancy team in their head-office in Ellesmere Port, offering exciting progression opportunities and full study support.

Description

The Finance Assistant will be a part of a dynamic and fluid finance team and have the ability to be flexible and step into in all Finance positions as and when required. This will involve covering various ad hoc duties within the Finance function eg. cash book, purchase ledger, sales ledger.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Daily reconciliation of bank account(s), including posting to Sage for any payments/receipts.

  • Responsibility for the operation of the Purchase Ledger

  • Responsibility for the operation of the Sales Ledger

  • Daily submission of Direct Debits

  • Final reconciliation on bank accounts and pass to Company Accountant.

  • Supporting team with reconciliations and adhoc tasks towards completion of management accounts.

  • Liaising with the operations department on any queries that may arise.

  • Profile

    The successful Finance Assistant will:

    • Have experience working in a finance team
    • Experience of invoice processes
    • Daily use of Excel
    • Accounting packages such as Sage would be highly advantageous
    • Have previously worked within a high volume and fast paced environment
    • Deal well with pressured workloads
    • Have an extremely flexible approach to work
    • Well well as a team or independently where required
