Description

• Assisting with financial reporting (weekly, monthly, HR)
• Preparation of budgets and fee projection
• Monitoring spending against budget
• Preparation of monthly cash flows and forecasts, analysing variances and commentaries
• Monitoring processes and reporting against financial standards and regulations
• Preparation and design of management accounts
• Assistance with preparation of firm's financial statements, including month and year end journals
• Answering queries for partners and preparing ad-hoc reports
• Work with other departments and management team to help make financial decisions
• VAT Returns

Profile

• Newly qualified accountant
• Experience of Sage Accounts (Line 50) is essential and ideally the ability to write/amend reports
• Strong excel skills (Formulas, if statements. Pivot tables)
• Experience using CCH practice Manager preferable
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in financial services/professional services.
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of the nature of confidential information
• Strong attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
