The APAC Senior Finance Manager of Statutory Accounting and Tax will oversee all aspects of statutory accounting, tax compliance, and financial reporting within multiple entities of a global FMCG company, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and optimizing tax positions. They will hold a key role working with the Board of Directors which will in-turn influence key decisions and processes within the APAC region.

Here in Singapore, the company consists of multiple entities and are looking for their first APAC Standalone Senior Finance Manager of Statutory Accounting and Tax to report into their Regional HQ board of directors.

Description

  • Serve as a key standalone stakeholder on the Board of Directors for multiple entities within APAC, actively participating in strategic discussions and decision-making processes that align with the interests of the shareholders.
  • Analyse and review the financial results of investments held by all business entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and reporting requirements.
  • Prepare intercompany adjustments to the financials of legal entities owned directly and indirectly by Investment Holding Companies, ensuring alignment of operating company profitability with local country tax and legal requirements.
  • Oversee the management, review, and sign off on externally prepared tax returns to ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
  • Manage, review, and sign off on audited financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness in General Ledger entries, and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain effective communication with shareholders of Investment Holding Companies, ensuring that the decisions and actions of the Board of Directors align with their interests.
  • Oversee and ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, compliance with accounting standards, and adherence to statutory accounting and tax regulations.

Profile

  • Demonstrated experience in reviewing financial results of investments and analyzing investment performance.
  • Proven ability to prepare intercompany adjustments and align legal entity operating company profitability with local country tax and legal requirements.
  • Strong understanding of shareholder communication and ability to align the decisions and actions of the Board of Directors with shareholder interests.
  • Experience in managing, reviewing, and signing off on audited financial statements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with shareholders, auditors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
