Financial Controller (Open to Public Competition) Bord na Móna is developing new sustainable businesses, that will deliver greater returns for its employees and the wider community. The Role: Our Finance Function currently wish to recruit a Financial Controller, on a permanent contract. This role will report to the Group Treasurer. The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include the following: Manage finances for an 89 MW windfarm with a capital cost of circa €190 million. Lead the long term planning, budgeting and forecasting processes for two statutory companies. Actively participate in the management, development and deployment of business targets as a member of the senior management team. Lead the long term planning, budgeting and forecasting processes for two statutory companies. Participate in the development of the business strategy with added focus on agreeing and achieving long term targets. A project team has been established and this individual will initially be a key member of that team. Provide the business with accurate and timely financial information to drive informed decision making including performance assessment, financial analysis and business scenario simulations. Production of monthly management, interim and statutory accounts to strict timelines and provide detailed analysis of any variances against budget. Manage all the requirements including drawdown/reporting requirements associated with the senior Project Finance Debt Facilities agreement from the banks. Liaising with banks and all other parties in ensuring that all Covenants, Reserves, Bank Forecasts are all reported on and managed in an efficient and timely manner. Management of bond, DSR, Vat and working capital facilities. Setting up an accounts structure for 2 companies. Preparation of detailed management accounts. Working with a shared services centre to ensure that all accounts payable payments, bank accounts and online banking and preparation of VAT returns are managed in an efficient manner. Manage the annual audit process and ensuring that Insurance is in place. Reporting to the Board of the company on a monthly basis. Provide the business and banks with accurate and timely financial information to drive informed decision making including performance assessment, financial analysis and business scenario simulations. Production of monthly management, interim and statutory accounts to strict timelines and provide detailed analysis of any variances against budget. Carry out a detailed financial/risk analysis of other business opportunities for the Bord na Mona group that may arise and prepare reports on these opportunities. Proactively participate in the Performance Management process to ensure delivery of own, and the wider team's objectives. The Person: The ideal candidate will possess the following qualification, skills, knowledge and attributes: Qualified Accountant; Treasury/Financial Controller/Corporate Finance experience is desirable; Minimum of eight (8) years post graduate experience; Knowledge of Key Business Processes; Knowledge of integrated ERP system (preferably Oracle), Microsoft Office, Excel.
