Experienced Finance professional from a Big 4 audit firm who is ready for the next step

Do you believe businesses should have a bigger ambition than short term profit? If you do, join DLL’s mission. We provide original financial solutions to sustain success for generations.

Are you our new Financial/Internal Control professional? As an experienced professional, you will contribute to bringing Internal and Financial Control at DLL to the next level. Do you think solid, reliable financial data and controls makes the difference between a good and a great company? Would you like to be part of a highly diverse, international team? Then we would like to hear from you!

Day to day:

What does the role look like?

In this global Group Controller role, as part of Group Control within the Group Finance department, you will safeguard that DLL’s financial reporting processes, policies, IFRS accounting manual and Risk Control Framework are embedded in our local organizations (more than 30, across Europe, Asia and North/Latin America) across the globe in an effective and efficient way. This will be done through on-site reviews, applying financial audit/review techniques. In addition, the role encompasses participating in Global projects to improve the Finance function as well as hands-on support to enhance the level of Financial Control in our local entities.  Overall, you will be highly involved in bringing the organizational mindset related to financial and internal control to the next level. As a Group Controller you will be a key player in streamlining and monitoring (ICFR) controls as well as creating control awareness across our global organization.

  • Execute on-site reviews of the financial reporting process (for example Month End Closing documentation) and internal/ICFR control effectiveness in DLL’s entities across the globe and identify opportunities for further maturing/improving these processes;
  • Report and discuss the findings of the reviews to relevant Country Management Teams (e.g. local CEO, local CFO) and translate improvement areas into concrete advice to improve and streamline the internal control environment;
  • Monitor the follow-up of the findings;
  • For specific local entities, act as coach/mentor and provide hands-on support to enhance the financial closing processes and further embedding the control culture by creating awareness and bringing the internal control mindset to the next maturity level.
  • Promote thinking in processes, risks and controls;
  • Search for root causes of identified issues, by thinking outside the traditional Finance function to help to create solutions for the identified issues together with the business;
  • Keeping your knowledge of internal controls/IFRS/banking regulations on track.
  • Manage/participate in global initiatives e.g. to implement new systems, procedures and processes.
  • Develop, maintain and monitor Group policies, guidance documents and toolkits on Internal control topics and financial processes (e.g. Segregation of Duties, Electronic Audit Evidence).
