Finance and Operations Manager #838

Permanent, part-time (50%)
Our partner works globally to tackle the spread of epidemics in vulnerable communities. They are seeking a French speaker with 5+ years non-profit experience to oversee the financial management of the organisation, including accounting entries, financial forecasting and project budget planning and monitoring.
Responsibilities:
- Approve payment vouchers, enter journal entries and accruals in QuickBooks Online.
- Oversee all the balance sheet and P&L accounts.
- Ensure the best segregation of duties in the Finance and Procurement processes.
- Ensure successful completion of the annual audit.
- Work with a tax preparer to ensure completeness and accuracy of annual tax filings (990…).
- Develop proposal-specific budgets with business development staff based in the US and France.
- Support budget preparation, realignment, forecasting and modeling budget scenarios to inform strategic decisions.
- Prepare financial reporting and invoices for all projects.
- Support leadership as requested.
Requirements:
- Advanced university degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in nonprofit financial management, including audits and tax preparation.
- Familiarity with 501(c)(3) public charity regulations and requirements.
- Project-specific experience with budget development, management, and invoicing.
- Experience with U.S. government funders, including NICRA negotiations.
- Highly organised and at ease in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment.
- Collaborative, team player with the ability to work autonomously.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including making financial presentations to Board of Directors and interacting with funders.
- Excellent attention to detail and impeccable professional integrity.
- Working proficiency in French is preferred.
