Job Type: Permanent


Location and flexible working: This is a hybrid role that could be based in either our Wythall or Edinburgh offices. We recognise the benefits of flexible working and will discuss what is important to you and balancing this with business requirements during the recruitment process.

The role


The Financial Performance team is responsible for calculating the monthly MI and projections for the business plan covering solvency, IFRS and liquidity as well as key internal and external metrics.
The successful applicant will report to the Head of Financial Performance and will carry out detailed technical review/analysis of results, and resolve technical issues across the team with the aim of improving the accuracy of the reporting processes and understanding of the results. There will be a particular focus on the solvency position of the life entities, although the role may also cover wider projects.


What are we looking for?


You will be a 'Qualified Actuary' with at least 5-10 years post qualification experience. You will be experienced in using a variety of diagnostic techniques to understand a situation or a problem by breaking it down and tracing the root cause in a methodical step-by-step way.


You will be able to demonstrate how you clearly and effectively communicates information, ideas, plans, requests and opinions to internal and external stakeholders through a range of channels


You will have a demonstrable track-record of meeting and exceeding performance goals and expectations to deliver results in a change orientated environment
