Description

Develop and maintain accurate financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support strategic decision-making processes.Prepare financial reports, including monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs).Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, providing recommendations for improvement and cost-saving measures.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial information and provide guidance on financial implications of business strategies.Participate in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function, identifying areas for process optimisation and automation.Provide financial insights and support for key business initiatives, such as mergers and acquisitions, investment evaluations, and strategic projects.Mentor and guide junior finance team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth.

Profile

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional accounting qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, CPA) is strongly preferred.Proven experience (minimum 5 years) as a Management Accountant or similar role, ideally within the energy, renewables, or ESG industry.Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable recommendations.Excellent proficiency in financial modelling and advanced Excel skills.Solid understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in the finance domain.Demonstrated leadership abilities and the capability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.Exceptional attention to detail, organisation, and time management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders effectively.
