SENIOR FINANCE MANAGER - INDUSTRY ROLE Who you will be working with: Abacus Professional Recruitment has been chosen by a leading manufacturing firm who operate across Europe, North America, Africa and Australasia. Our client has recently completed one of the largest and most complex deals achieved in NI within recent years and are now seeking to recruit a Senior Finance Manager. This is a great opportunity to join a world-class organisation who are recruiting a number of jobs in Belfast and currently employ 3,000 people across the globe. Salary: £50,000 - £65,000. What you will do: We are seeking a person who will confidently embrace the established high standards of financial reporting. Solid accounting and financial fundamentals are required combined with experience of converting accounting concepts into practical accounting processes. Responsibilities: Responsibility for the preparation of routine financial performance reporting, including monthly, quarterly & annual reports and provide analyses of variances and commercial advice on the significance of the financial numbers. Ensure the submission of accurate and timely information of group reporting requirements. Review, monitor and improve accuracy of forecasts and budgets. Provide financial insight to forecasts and budget achievement for both profit & cash. Ensure consistency of accounting treatment and reporting with group policies and procedures. Overseeing tax issues and ensuring compliance in conjunction with the Group Tax Director. Ensure the production of timely & accurate financial and statutory reports that satisfy both IFRS and local GAAP regulations. Ensure that there are adequate systems & controls to maintain the integrity of the accounting information, safeguard company assets and maximise financial performance. Oversee the external audit; review & analyse results and recommend for approval the audited financial statements. Prepare and report on operational KPIs on a monthly/quarterly basis, and assist with operational performance assessment processes, such as budget reviews and quarterly business reviews. What do we look for? Person/Skills Required: Must possess excellent organisational, project management and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail. Strong sense of commitment and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Excellent Communication skills including the ability to work with people in various locations, including strong verbal and written English. Flexible and possess a 'can-do' attitude in order to meet the on-going requirements of the group. Continuous improvement mind-set. Essential Criteria: Must hold a recognized professional accountancy qualification. Experience in reporting under IFRS. Strong financial accounting background with a working knowledge of finance close processes. Experience of a multi-currency reporting environment. Significant experience in a financial leadership role with demonstrable experience in managing a team of qualified professionals.
