Our Quality and Risk Management function provides guidance and information to professionals across the firm to support our emphasis on quality, protect the brand and reputation of KPMG as well as to minimise and mitigate professional risks. 

The KPMG Islands Group (KIG) E&I (Ethics and Independence) team sets out processes and issues guidance to help our personnel comply with our legal, regulatory and ethical requirements for all of KIG, which is comprised of more than 2,000 outstanding professionals working together to deliver value in Antigua & Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Jamaica, Jersey, Malta, St Lucia, St Vincent & the Grenadines, and Trinidad & Tobago. Some of these processes involve the administration of specific tools supporting KPMG in the monitoring of compliance by firms and personnel with the policies on ethics and independence.

We are seeking to recruit a Compliance Officer to complement a team of professionals supporting this function in the monitoring of compliance with our policies on ethics and independence. The Compliance Officer will run processes, document procedures and administer tools used in the monitoring of compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Run processes requesting periodical self-declarations by personnel;
  • Administer IT tools used in the monitoring of compliance with policies and completion of training;
  • Document procedures performed and report conclusions; and 
  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures. 

What we are looking for... 

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic, who has a keen interest in Quality and Risk Management principles, including ethics and independence rules issued by IESBA (International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants). 

The preferred candidate for this position will be a professional with a:

  • Good educational background; 
  • High standard of written and spoken business English; 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team building qualities;
  • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic; and
  • Ideally with previous experience in compliance with internal processes.
